Responsibilities:
- Translate requirements into high-quality, efficient, and maintainable code while adhering to company coding standards and guidelines.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and robust backend services and APIs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (frontend developers, product managers, etc.) to integrate backend services with frontend applications.
- Optimize application performance and ensure system reliability and security.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems as needed.
- Work with security teams to implement security fixes.
- Work with data storage solutions including databases, key-value stores, blob stores, etc.
- Engage in service capacity planning, demand forecasting, software performance analysis, and system tuning.
Qualifications:
Must-Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 2+ years of experience in backend development, specifically with GoLang.
- Strong understanding of the entire web development process (design, development, and deployment).
- Experience with relational database technologies such as SQLite or Postgres and data modeling.
- Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and their application in backend development.
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Bonus Qualifications:
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools for deploying applications.
- Contributions to open source projects or a strong portfolio of your own projects.
