We are fast-growing, and we are seeking a talented individual to join our finance team to take charge of critical responsibilities that directly impact our organization's success.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive Month-End Close: Lead the month-end close process, uploading, reviewing, and reconciling revenue transactions. Ensure accurate reporting by recording supporting system transactions and journal entries.
  • GAAP Expertise: Interpret and apply accounting rules and procedures, specifically General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), in recording monthly financial statements and addressing ad hoc requests.
  • Policy Documentation: Document and update accounting policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and maintaining a robust framework.
  • Intercompany Reconciliation: Support the maintenance of financial statements by legal entity, reconciling intercompany balances, and preparing necessary transfer pricing invoices and entries.
  • Fixed Asset Management: Maintain the Fixed Asset schedule for both book and tax purposes.
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliation: Reconcile Balance Sheet accounts, bank, and credit card accounts monthly, investigating and resolving issues or variances promptly.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and distribute monthly department financial statements and other ad hoc reports. Communicate financial analysis findings to management and the finance team.
  • Cost Reduction and Revenue Enhancement: Proactively recommend ways to reduce costs and enhance revenue, contributing to overall financial strategy.
  • Cash Flow Management: Maintain and update/manage weekly Cash Flow forecast. Present forecasts to finance management.
  • Tax Compliance: Support and prepare sales tax filings. Prepare documentation for External Tax Advisors and Auditors and effectively communicate results.
  • Audit Coordination: Assist the Controller in coordinating annual audits.
  • Project Management: Manage and/or assist finance management in automation projects, reporting projects, and/or system implementations.

Education/Other Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • 2+ years of Public Accounting Firm Experience (preferred).
  • 5+ years of Progressive Accounting Experience, including General Ledger Experience.
  • Strong Knowledge of QBO or other accounting software, Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience implementing ERP and/or BI reporting (preferred).
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to effectively and efficiently communicate with management and operations regarding financial issues.
  • Experience managing ad hoc projects, identifying resources required, and completing tasks within deadlines.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality of records.
  • Self-driven; must be able to work independently.
  • Local to Cincinnati or able to commute at least 1x a week on Wednesday.
