Outcomes of the Junior Systems Engineer:

• Serve as a subject matter expert across multiple internal systems to provide guidance on strategic reporting needs
• Develop and provide well defined solutions for ETL pipelines
• Interact and collaborate with internal stakeholders with varying technical aptitude to understand business needs and translate them into actionable projects, following agile software development practices
• Create ad hoc reports and dashboards as requested by internal stakeholders from any department or level and technical aptitude
• Utilize Jira to track internal requests and provide updates in a timely manner
• Technology and tools used: Jira, BigQuery, Google Cloud Platform, SQL, Paycor HRIS, QuickBooks Online, Various Other Information System APIs, Looker

Requirements:

• Location: Must be located within 75 miles of Blue Ash, a suburb of Cincinnati.
• A baseline understanding of cloud-based computing.
• A passion for using technology to simplify processes and improve efficiency.
• Preferred: A 4-year college degree in engineering, mathematics, or a related field.
• Preferred: Experience in data extraction from web APIs using JavaScript, TypeScript, and/or Python.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools like Looker.
• Proven ability to create reports and simplify complex ideas.
