The role

As our Hot & Savoury and Bar category continues to grow from strength to strength we're now looking for a new Senior Technical Executive to join us to help maintain our products' safety and quality standards. These categories are a big focus for the business, having successfully launched Chick’n & Mushroom, Cajun Pasta, and Mac & Cheese, along with our Complete Protein Bars with lots more product innovation on the way.👀.

Day to day you'll be looking at data (like our customer feedback) to spot areas of improvement for our Hot & Savory and Bar products and investigate how to resolve them. You'll be managing our suppliers to make changes to our process and controls, whilst monitoring their Technical performance (KPIs) and gaining consistency. This will include frequent calls as well as monthly site visits ✈️. You’ll need the right blend of interpersonal and negotiation skills to work best with our manufacturers and also understand the need to find solutions quickly.

This opportunity will also see you be a key figure within the Hot & Savoury and Bars NPD process, attending weekly meetings to make sure that all our new products adhere to our requirements and giving us brand and product protection, as well as reliable quality control⭐.

What we're looking for in you

This role will best suit someone with 1-2 years of experience working within food and drink manufacturing sectors 🍅 🥤. Ideally, you’ll have a food science degree but if not you'll have demonstrable experience within this field to show you understand food quality and KPIs. You'll have a thorough understanding of food legislation in the UK alongside ideally EU/US 🌍 and a proven track record of raising standards 🏆.

Having the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, be personable and have strong relationship-building skills will be the key to success alongside good auditing and risk assessment skills.

You must be happy to travel locally and globally to visit manufacturing sites at least once a month in the UK and EU✈️.
