FinOpsly is scaling rapidly—and with that growth comes the need to build the scaffolding that lets us move fast and safe. We’re seeking a Senior Change Management Lead to build and mature our change-control practice, ensuring branch integrity, merge discipline, and production stability. You will design a rigorous yet lean process, integrate quality gates into CI/CD, and embed visibility and rollback mechanisms to eliminate “rogue” changes and reduce incidents.

What You’ll do:

  • Define and enforce a branching model (e.g., trunk-based or GitFlow) with protected branches and PR workflows.
  • Implement pull-request policies requiring automated-test passes, peer approvals, and linked change tickets before merges.
  • Embed linting, unit, integration, and smoke tests into every CI/CD stage (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or equivalent)
  • Ensure environment parity by provisioning dev/test/prod-clone stacks via Docker
  • Introduce a lightweight risk-scoring mechanism (blast radius, service dependencies) to categorize “Standard,” “High-Risk,” and “Emergency” changes.
  • Coordinate additional validations (performance, security scans) and approvals for high-risk promotions.
  • Design automated rollback steps triggered by health-check failures (error rate, latency spikes).
  • Maintain one-click back-out runbooks and playbooks for rapid incident response.
  • Build real-time dashboards (Grafana, Datadog, etc.) tracking deployment frequency, change success rate, failure rate, and MTTR.
  • Establish audit trails that tie every merge and deployment back to a change request and approval record.
  • Chair a “light CAB” for production and QA promotions, facilitating bi-weekly release syncs and emergency huddles.
  • Train and mentor engineering teams on change-management practices, PR hygiene, and CI tools usage.
  • Continuously iterate through retrospectives and feedback loops.

What You’ll Bring

  • 8+ years in change, release, or configuration management—ideally within SaaS or high-velocity product teams.
  • Prior hands-on experience developing or implementing a SaaS application as a frontend or backend engineer, giving you deep empathy for development workflows and technical constraints.
  • Full stack experience with Next.js, javascript, php and database skills (snowflake, SQL) is required.
  • Proven track record defining and scaling change-control processes that balance speed with stability.
  • Deep hands-on experience with Git branching models, CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI), and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Strong understanding of test automation layers—lint/unit/integration/smoke—and how to integrate them as quality gates.
  • Expertise in risk assessment frameworks for code changes and coordinating appropriate review levels.
  • Experience designing automated rollback mechanisms and drafting clear back-out runbooks.
  • Solid analytical skills to define and report key change-management metrics (deployment frequency, change failure rate, MTTR).
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills; able to lead CAB sessions and drive cross-functional alignment without direct authority

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with feature-flag platforms and progressive delivery techniques.
  • Background in ITIL/ITSM practices adapted for agile or DevOps environments.
  • Experience with observability stacks (Prometheus/Grafana, Datadog, ELK).
  • Prior exposure to compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001) and how change controls satisfy audit requirements.

Why You’ll Love This Role

  • You’ll safeguard platform stability and accelerate our release velocity.
  • Design the change management practice from the ground up.
  • Partner closely with engineering, DevOps, QA, and product leadership.
  • As FinOpsly scales, lead expanded Release & Change teams and shape our enterprise operations.
  • You’ll discover an environment where your voice truly matters. We champion experimentation, learning, and mentorship so every team member thrives professionally. Working alongside a supportive, diverse group, you’ll feel the excitement of tackling fresh challenges, celebrating shared wins, and pushing boundaries.

If you thrive on building robust, scalable processes that keep production safe without slowing innovation, we’d love to hear from you!
