Job Title: RVP of Sales – West

Department: Sales

Reports to: SVP of Sales

Work Location: Remote (West of Mississippi)

About the position

Abre is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic RVP of Sales to join our fast growing company. This team member will be primarily responsible for leading the sales team west of the Mississippi and driving high growth revenue performance against company goals and objectives. This role is critical in supporting the growth of the company and directly impacts our scaled outcome objectives in K-12 education. The role will also be a member of the sales team leadership where collaboration, strategy, and execution will be paramount to ensure topline acceleration and client adoption.

The position is fully remote with travel requirements. Abre is headquartered in Cincinnati, OH.

  • Meet, and ideally exceed, sales objectives of the assigned territory by recruiting, hiring, and supporting the team selling products and services through professional sales techniques and long-term customer relationships.
  • Coach, mentor, and train sales account executives to exceed annual sales goals.
  • Create, implement, and continuously improve an annual territory plan, focused in growth strategy and exhibit the ability to provide data informed recommendations for resources (People, Events, Investments)
  • Support account executives in sales strategy and serve as “Executive Sponsor” top deals.
  • Participate in the creation, delivery and team compliance in sales enablement activities focused on sales strategy and product training.
  • Ensure team maintenance and hygiene of all current opportunities in Salesforce for transparency and reporting accuracy.
  • Lead the team in the sales forecasting process, representing the team on bi-weekly leadership forecast readouts.
  • Partner with marketing and solutions consulting to maximize go-to-market opportunities.
  • Exhibit expertise in the EdTech market with a focus on competition, competitive issues, and our products suite.

What you need to be successful

For success in the RVP of Sales – West role, candidates should have the following qualifications with a proven track record.

  • Team player aligned to and excited to live out Abre’s company values.
  • Organized, focused, and able to thrive in a remote and fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in working with cross functional teams including sales, marketing and executive teams.
  • Strong written & verbal communication; ability to communicate clearly and concisely internally and externally.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excel at building and leveraging strong relationships amongst targeted buyers (superintendents, executive cabinet members, and other district administrators).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks with shifting priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Google Suite of Tools (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides) skills.
  • Prior experience with Salesforce CRM or equivalent CRM.
  • 4+ years of sales leadership experience, preferably at an EdTech SaaS startup or early stage company that grew from growth to scale stage with a proven track records in new client acquisition, expansion, and renewal.
  • Exhibit a willingness to travel up to 40% a year.
