Abre is seeking an expert candidate to join our Sales team as a Director of Solutions Consulting. In this role, you will collaborate closely with sales, product, and customer success teams to ensure alignment between customer needs and the organization’s capabilities. Your strategic vision and deep understanding of both education systems and EdTech solutions will be instrumental in shaping the direction and success of our sales cycles at Abre. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to the growth and impact of our company and help establish how districts understand and purchase Data-As-A-Service.

What you’ll be doing

  • Understanding Customer Needs: They work closely with the sales team to understand the customer’s requirements, challenges, and objectives.
  • Solution Design: They design and develop customized solutions that address the customer’s specific needs, often through product demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, and presentations.
  • Technical Expertise: They leverage their technical knowledge and expertise to articulate the value proposition of the company’s products or services and address any technical questions or concerns raised by the customer.
  • Sales Support: They provide support to the sales team throughout the sales cycle, helping to navigate technical complexities and overcome objections to close the deal. They are detail obsessed and record pertinent information gathered during the sale that is essential to secure success in onboarding.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal teams, including product management, engineering, and implementation specialists, to ensure seamless delivery and implementation of solutions. Communicate client requirements and feedback to internal stakeholders to drive product enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • GTM Strategy: Keep informed of educational trends and state legislation to better inform the broader team on ways to win opportunities as well as qualify for funding streams.
  • Brand Ambassador: Present or co-present at conferences alongside customers, advocating for the impact of our product or service
  • Support Enablement and Onboarding: Lead the product training for new Abre employees, including support of AbreU and Demo Certification.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Technology, Computer Science, or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a client-facing role, such as solutions consulting, pre-sales engineering, or technical sales, preferably within the EdTech sector.
  • Strong understanding of education technology trends, learning management systems (LMS), student information systems (SIS), and other instructional tools and platforms.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to build rapport and trust with educators, administrators, and other stakeholders in the education sector.
  • Strategic thinker with a passion for driving innovation and positive change in education through technology.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • This position requires travel (40%)
