Position Purpose

Abre seeks a dedicated Content Specialist. The ideal candidate is responsible for creating, growing, maintaining, and adapting our content, primarily used to bolster sales opportunities. This role involves creating engaging content to attract new customers and producing supportive materials designed to assist our existing customer base. The Content Specialist will be critical in enhancing our company’s market presence and contributing to our overall growth.

This position is cross-departmental and highly collaborative, involving work between sales, product, and client experience.

The position is remote. Abre is based in Cincinnati, Ohio.


  • Learn and understand the Abre Platform deeply to inform high-quality content creation. This includes understanding use cases for deploying Abre within the K12 community.
  • Maintain Abre’s Content Production Matrix and develop and align content themes that match both the sales and school year cycles. This includes developing and maintaining an editorial calendar that positions content creation a quarter ahead of product releases.
  • Possesses a strong ability to write in multiple formats.
  • Develop and execute content that aligns with Abre’s strategic goals. This includes creating various content types, such as blogs, articles, white papers, case studies, videos, webinars, newsletters, and infographics.
  • Produce materials specifically designed to help customers understand and use Abre effectively. This could include tutorial courses (Learn Courses), Knowledge Base Articles, and other support resources.
  • Ability to bring a piece of content from concept to completion and apply said content to multiple channels.
  • Manage content distribution across various channels to effectively reach the target audience. This includes managing social media accounts, email newsletters, and other digital platforms.
  • Monitor and analyze the performance of content marketing efforts using analytics tools. Report on metrics such as engagement, lead generation, and conversion rates to gauge the effectiveness of content and adjust strategies as needed. Frequently obtain customer feedback on content to gauge any gaps in information or support.
  • Work in collaboration with Abre’s third-party marketing partners. Coordinate with internal and external partners and contributors to deliver timely content.
  • Ensure all content adheres to brand and style guidelines and maintains a consistent voice.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and competitors’ activities to drive continuous improvement and innovation.


  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in a related role and a similar industry.
  • Proven experience in writing and editing high-quality content in various formats such as blogs, articles, white papers, and social media posts. Experience with video and graphic production as well.
  • Understanding of digital marketing strategies, including email marketing, social media, and inbound marketing, to effectively distribute and promote content.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to create compelling content and effectively communicate with team members, the education market, and customers.
  • Skills in organizing, planning, and executing content marketing projects from inception to completion, often under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to analyze data, understand audience behavior, and use insights to inform content strategies and improve engagement.
  • Willingness to practice adaptability, learning, and growth, particularly in the function and purpose of the Abre platform and how it supports all stakeholders in education.
  • Technical proficiency in common content tools such CMSs, video production, and graphic design. Working understanding of HTML/CSS is beneficial.
