Short Overview

Job Title: Professional Learning Specialist

Department: Client Experience

Reports to: Manager of Customer Success

Work Location: Remote. That said, we are looking for specialists located in two areas to serve clients in the respective geographies:

  • East (OH, PA, MN, IL)
  • West (TX)

Position purpose

The Professional Learning Specialist is responsible for providing professional development and services that ensure educators can achieve successful outcomes with Abre. You will build strong relationships with educators while aligning services to their specific needs. You will provide training on all Abre products and services and will be able to discuss customers’ goals, lead data-rich conversations, and support the planning of strategic implementation initiatives using Abre products.

At times, you will work cross-departmentally on special projects such as podcasts, blogs, National Webinars, and articles. You’ll also enhance user education by developing content for our asynchronous learning experience. You will effectively manage information and monitor tasks to identify, analyze, and solve problems.

Responsibilities

  • Become an expert on the Abre platform and products to support district-wide adoptions of the Abre platform
  • Provides professional development both virtually and onsite (travel required as determined by client needs)
  • Consistently analyzes, designs, delivers, and disseminates Abre content-based client learning sessions
  • Coordinates and schedules professional development dates, times, and travel as needed
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date records regarding client learning engagements
  • Collaborates with internal Client Experience Partners to understand client goals and needs to achieve outcomes
  • Communicates regularly with clients and responds promptly to include verbal, written, email, and other related platforms
  • Able to learn independently, conduct research, synthesize and apply information from a variety of resources
  • Ability to guide new and update existing PL and training courses based on market feedback, product evolution, research, and input from stakeholders
  • Manage and monitor the proactive services strategy for multiple client accounts
  • Partners & collaborates with sales, support services & other groups within the organization on client issues that arise during the customer’s implementation

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of experience in teaching, coaching teachers, or providing professional development
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • A love for building professional learning content from the ground up
  • Fluency using digital tools and interpreting third-party data, and a high level of comfort discussing and applying data with teachers and leaders
  • An understanding of principles of adult learning and how to apply them to professional development asynchronous and live engagements
  • Enthusiasm for travel within designated territory as well as to company meetings several times throughout the year (once safe to do so); national travel may be up to 60% during peak season
  • Dynamic presenter who is capable of motivating groups of people to learn in creative ways
