Abre.io is seeking experienced Product Managers to join our growing team. Product Managers at Abre are the voice of the customer, defining what must be built to delight our users. Product Managers set the vision for their products and work closely with colleagues to execute on that vision. Product Managers take direct responsibility for the success of their products and constantly seek ways to improve the customer experience.

Who We Are
Abre grew from a need. As classrooms filled with Chromebooks and students had more access to edtech, our founders noticed the software solutions used in their classrooms were messy. They faced countless logins, siloed data, and increasing confusion among different users. What was missing was simplicity and unification. So they created it.
Abre is quite literally made by educators. Our founders have years of experience in teaching and administrative leadership in K-12 education. We believe education is critical for the health of our society and have a genuine passion for helping educators.
Abre started in a single public school district, but soon neighboring schools noticed Abre’s impact. They viewed Abre solving challenges and wanted to implement Abre in their own district. Today we’re in hundreds of schools serving hundreds of thousands of students.
Specific Responsibilities
- Set the vision for multiple Abre products and deliver on that vision.
- Thoroughly research customer needs to understand what our customers want.
- Compare Abre’s products to other offerings to assess competition in the market.
- Work within an independent squad of colleagues to conceive, build, and deliver product features and improvements.
- Partner closely with a squad Technical Lead to translate “what” into “how” and deliver product roadmaps with estimated delivery dates.
- Regularly update leadership on customer satisfaction, daily active users, changes to delivery dates, and other metrics related to feature development, product usage, and customer retention.
- Promote the use of data to make critical product product decisions,
- Mentor junior product managers and be a guiding voice in Product Manager guild meetings and events.
- Demonstrate empathy for the customer and a commitment to delving deep into the challenges they face.
Minimum Qualifications
- At least 5 years experience as a Product Manager in SaaS and/or education settings
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working directly with developers during creation of new features.
- Experience creating and maintaining internal documentation of product releases.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills with prior experience owning roadmaps.
- Experience with typical product success metrics and a willingness to use novel metrics based on Abre’s vision of success.
- An eye for UI/UX design and being able to communicate with designers.
- Experience working in responsive web based products
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior K-12 teaching experience
- Understanding of HTML and CSS
- Prior experience with LAMP stack
- Knowledge of Google Analytics and web based KPIs
- Prior experience managing other Product Managers
