The role

Since launching RTD into UK retail 2019, our sales have grown rapidly and in the latest 52 weeks we’ve registered sales of £27.7m RSV on Neilsen, growing at 166% YoY 🥇. To help us accelerate our rapid growth into UK retail and continue our journey, we’re now looking for our company first super-star Senior Category Manager🎉.

You will report to Natalie Stanton our new Head of Sales, and take ownership of building the category management from scratch. You will have the opportunity to build a small team to support the growth over the next three years too! Here’s an insight into your day-to-day:

• You'll be responsible for overseeing all retail data insights and category management functions within the Huel retail team, handling external data from our providers, including Neilsen, iRi, Dunhumby, Nectar, and Kantar. You’ll then utilise this data to construct compelling narratives and develop a winning category vision🧐.
• Managing relationships and negotiating contracts with data providers, adhering to the allocated budget and advising the business on necessary data for growth🤝.
• You will use your data skills to support the sales team in building presentations for annual brand planning, creating category sell-in decks for NPD launches and category-focused stories to unlock distribution gains and new retailers💼.
• You'll have your finger on the pulse and monitor industry trends and market insights, understanding macro trends to influence our retail strategy and guide theirs📊.
• Collaboration with marketing, strategy, and product teams to provide insights to support NPD launches and integrate retail performance into the wider Huel business strategy.
• In addition to supporting the sales team with retailer data and insights, you'll produce monthly and quarterly reports that are easily understandable and shareable across the organisation to track retail performance against our OKRs 📝.

What we're looking for in you

This role will best suit someone with circa 4 years + of experience working within category management in FMCG. You'll have worked with Nielsen or iRi databases and preferably have some experience with customer-specific platforms such as Nectar and Dunhumby📊.

You'll have the ability to manipulate and analyse large sets of data to get to the golden nuggets of insights for our retailers to help them grow their category with long-term vision and partnership approach. You'll also be very confident with raw data, excel, and PowerPoint. You can build pivots, charts and reports from scratch📝.

You’ll be a great storyteller, having the ability to present complex data in a simple and powerful way through clear storytelling and category vision and be an excellent communicator, communicating with all levels within a business, succinctly delivering your key messages with high impact🚀.
